For nineteen years I have been running to my dad to say, "I have a project for you". Through the many iterations of my displays for InBloom Jewelry he has been there, lending his expert craftsmanship as a woodworker. When he came to me this summer and said, " I have a project for you", I jumped at the chance to return the favor.
My Mom's Solitaire was in a sad state; prongs missing, it was essentially unwearable. As their 50th wedding anniversary approached in August, it was time to re-mount my Mom's beautiful diamond.
I got to work designing a ring that would incorporate a diamond for each daughter and grandchild. One week before their celebration my Dad surprised my Mom with the finished ring.
Over 200 friends and Family gathered to share memories of 50 years of cultivating relationships, enduring hardships and rejoicing in hard won victories. Together they have celebrated births, mourned deaths and journeyed through the mundane of everyday. They nurtured a deep love and respect for one another and have deeply impacted all those who have known their kindness over the years through the gentle guidance of their example.
Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad!
