Our Co-Creative Process
The Wonders of Collaboration:
When Clients Bring a Vision of Their Own, How Do We Proceed?
Stacey Krantz, InBloom's Owner, Designer and Goldsmith extraordinaire, takes us through the co-creative process behind the most meaningful custom pieces.
As the lead designer at InBloom Jewelry, one of my greatest joys is partnering with clients to weave their personal stories into cherished jewelry pieces. Our process is a true co-creative journey that begins with deep listening.
Identifying Personal Meaning
Observing—not just the words, but the potential symbols, shapes, colors, and forms that could tell the story. These elements may not always be obvious to others but are understood precisely by the wearer in terms of their symbolism.
Often, it’s an inherited piece that first speaks—a visual cue, a stone color, or a combination of shapes. It sparks the initial concept, guiding us along the path. From there, the design begins to reveal itself naturally. The creative process requires a willingness to surrender to the unknown, allowing the answers to essential questions to emerge and reveal themselves. I am always looking for that wide-eyed expression of delight and excitement on our clients’ faces to know I am on the right track.
Technology and Trust
Throughout this collaborative journey, mutual trust is key. We treasure the creative back-and-forth, as your input informs and shapes the design. With our blend of expertise, technology, and process, we ensure clear communication and visualization at every stage. Pencil sketches, wax carvings, digital renderings, 3D viewers, and 3D-printed resin models allow for informed decision-making and precise refinements. It’s an exciting time where traditional methods and emerging technologies beautifully co-mingle.
Your Story Brought to Life
The result? Jewelry that is not only beautiful but uniquely yours—a reflection of your story and exactly what you dreamed. It’s a cherished experience for all of us. We grow and expand the possibilities with every new project, and we are truly grateful.
Thank you for entrusting us with your most cherished pieces. It’s an honor to continue this co-creative journey with you, and we look forward to bringing more stories to life.
